Keyser Marston has advised the San Diego Housing Commission since 1999 on an assignment to locate and develop a new headquarters for the commission. Keyser Marston advised the commission during the developer solicitation and selection process. The “Smart Corner” site at 12th Avenue and C Street is where the selected developer, Lankford & Associates is developing a building for the commission and other tenants. Upon completion, the building will be sold to the commission. Lankford is also developing 299 residential condominiums for sale in a separate 19-story tower. The project will have four levels of subterranean parking and a trolley station running diagonally across the surface of the site. Retail and restaurant uses will be located at the plaza level of both buildings.
