Kimberly Heaton is the Director of Information Services and supports KMA’s Berkeley, Los Angeles and San Diego offices.

Research and Data Dissemination

Kimberly is a team player who contributes to a wide range of KMA projects, by conducting as-needed research on real estate development, affordable housing policies, land use, finance, economic and legal issues. Kimberly tracks industry news and legislation, with a specific focusing on affordable housing, infrastructure finance, and economic development related bills. She utilizes and coordinates subscriptions to various real estate industry databases. She also maintains a digital collection of current market and statistical data relevant to KMA analyses. By providing the firm with a corporate information portal and online catalog for research data, as well as internal reports, she facilitates information flow within the firm.
Kimberly also tracks funding programs supporting affordable housing and homelessness offered through HCD; as well as local and regional grants and incentives to build transit oriented and workforce housing.

Marketing

Kimberly is responsible for managing the firm’s website and assists with marketing efforts by coordinating KMA attendance at conferences such as the California League of Cities and CALED. She also helps track job opportunities for the firm.

Hobbies and Interests

Kimberly is an outdoor enthusiast and enjoys camping, hiking, kayaking, along with chasing sunsets.
She loves exploring California backroads and is passionate about live music.
